FAQs

What kind of music lessons and services do you offer?
In addition to private, group, one-on-one, couple, sibling and team building guitar, ukulele, vocal and piano lessons, we also produce private events several evenings a week including comedy shows, student showcases, a weekly open mic and more. We rent our space for birthday and private parties, private events, photo shoots and classes. We hold yoga classes, children’s fundamental music classes and ukulele building workshops. Please visit our Prices and Services page for more info. Would you like to see an event that isn’t on our calendar? Let us know.

What genres of music do you teach?
We mostly work with your favorite rock, pop, some musicals, traditional, folk, country, rap, some blues and more to teach you the basics up through advanced techniques. We can also help you play your favorite songs of just about any genre for a special event, such as a special performance on any stage, at a theater, wedding, anniversary or…? We can even help you write and develop your own original songs.

Who teaches the lessons?
We have several professional, talented music teachers who are background checked and fingerprinted with the Board of Education. For more information, please visit the Teacher + Staff Bios page.

What is the music studio like and where is it? How do I get there?
Our lovely, newly renovated studio is located in a first floor storefront (that used to be a bodega) in Chinatown / downtown Manhattan just one block from the F train. It is a spacious, airy 500 square foot space that is also a short walk from the B, D, J, M, N, Q, R trains and along the M15 bus route. There is plenty of on the street (meter) parking and free street spots nearby. The studio space boasts a 3.5′ tall stage, wonderful natural light, A/C, high ceilings, great acoustics, a state of the art sound system and instruments of all kinds, for rent and for sale. The vibe is welcoming, clean, comfortable and inspiring!
